Megan Cramer (She/Her)
My Approach
My approach to therapy is eclectic, integrative, and collaborative. I believe that each person is unique, and there is no single “right” way to support healing and growth. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model, I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities, methods, and interventions to create a personalized experience that aligns with your specific needs, goals, and preferences. I show up to this work with compassion and authenticity, striving to create a space where you feel genuinely seen, supported, and understood.
My work is rooted in a non-pathologizing and holistic perspective, where I see you as a whole person, not a set of symptoms to be fixed. I consider how your thoughts, emotions, behaviours, personal history, relationships, and physical well-being intersect to shape your experience. With curiosity and care, we will explore your story in a way that honours your strengths and opens space for new possibilities.
I place strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship as a foundation for meaningful change. I aim to offer a safe, non-judgmental environment where you feel respected as the expert on your own life. Through thoughtful questioning and reflection, I can support you in stepping back from overthinking, anxiety, and self-critical patterns tied to perfectionism, people-pleasing, or shame, and in exploring more compassionate ways of relating to yourself and others.
Together, we will cultivate emotional awareness and regulation while re-authoring the stories you hold about yourself. By focusing on your values, strengths, and intentions, we can move toward a greater sense of self-trust, ease, and acceptance, and support change that feels deep, lasting, and aligned with who you truly are.
On A Personal Note
I live in the Durham Region with my partner and our two rabbits, Luna and Zeke. Outside of my work, I’m drawn to a mindful and spiritually connected way of living. I value caring for both body and mind through regular movement and exercise, and I practice veganism for ethical and environmental reasons. In my free time, I enjoy hiking in the forest, listening to vinyl records, riding motorcycles, paddleboarding, and expressing my creativity through macramé and colouring.
