Practicum Placements
Corinne has supported 20+ Master’s Level Therapist Interns as a Clinical Supervisor and On-Site Practicum Coordinator during their practicum placements. The most important thing to her during your practicum placement is to provide a safe, trusting space for you to discover who you are and who you want to become as a new therapist.
Corinne’s approach to supervision is human-centred, systemic, trauma-informed, and flexible, integrating several therapeutic perspectives, such as Emotion Focused Therapy (Individual & Couple), Dialogic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Somatic Practices.

1981 - 2023
Before Two Bee Human Therapy Collective Inc. launched in January 2025, it was Corinne Carter Therapy, which started as a solo practice in 2022. At that time, Corinne had recently branched out on her own after over a decade as a co-owner and therapist at New Roots Therapy in Whitby and was looking forward to a fresh start. Although Corinne wasn’t planning to grow her new practice for a while, she was intrigued when Donna’s practicum application came across her desk and decided to reach out. They instantly clicked. It felt like the universe had aligned for them to meet and be in each other’s lives at a time when both were cultivating new beginnings. Corinne offered Donna a practicum placement on the spot, and Donna became the first therapist to join Corinne in the practice that has since evolved into Two Bee Human.
From September 2022 to April 2023, Donna completed her practicum placement under Corinne’s supervision, earning her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree from Yorkville University and graduating with distinction. On May 1st, 2023, as an enthusiastic new graduate, Donna began working as an associate therapist in the practice. On May 30th, 2023, Donna tragically passed away.
Donna will always be remembered as a passionate life-long learner, excited to fulfill her dream of becoming a therapist. She was authentic, courageous, determined, exuberant, funny, kind, and so much more that can’t be captured in a few paragraphs. She was an artist. She loved to be in nature. She was human, she was here, and she was full of life. She is loved and missed.
All of us who knew Donna are forever grateful for the time we shared with her. Donna’s impact and presence continue to live on in our team's work, as she is the foundational member of what Two Bee Human has grown into.
