My Approach
My approach to therapy is to provide you with a safe place to explore your life experiences while fostering a strong therapeutic connection. It is my belief that the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of healing, ensuring you find a non-judgemental, warm, and compassionate place to land. While I may utilize a variety of different therapeutic modalities including but not limited to Emotion Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, generating a path for our work collaboratively, that aligns with your unique needs is seen with the utmost importance. It is my hope that together we can build skills, gain insight, and find resilience to help you move forward in your journey, in whatever way feels good for you.
On A Personal Note
In both my professional and personal life, my days tend to revolve around the care of others. I have two active, curious, and sensitive young children at home, along with two rambunctious chocolate labs. Finding time to take care of myself is not always easy, as I’m sure many of you can relate, but it is something I continue to prioritize to ensure I am able to show up as the best version of myself in all facets of my life. For me this looks like finding time for movement every day, whether thats taking the kids and dogs for a walk, playing at a park, or finding a quiet moment to work through a yoga flow. Outside of movement, curling up with a book (preferable a sappy and predictable romance novel) is how I like to spend any free time I may find.
